The Ministry of Labour and Social Security has announced that beneficiaries of the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH) will not be paid tomorrow as scheduled.
According to the ministry, payments for the month of June will be made on Wednesday, June 17, instead of the 15th day of the month.
While not indicating the reason for the delay, the ministry expressed regrets for the inconvenience to the hundreds of thousands of PATH beneficiaries.
PATH is a conditional cash transfer programme funded by the Government and the World Bank. It is aimed at delivering benefits by way of cash grants to the most needy and vulnerable in the society.
