Socialite power broker and former Jamaica Labour Party councillor Don Creary has been hit with a second rape charge.

Creary was charged following a question-and-answer session yesterday in the presence of his lawyer, Tom Tavares-Finson.

It is alleged that in June this year, Creary raped a 19-year-old woman at an apartment in Meadowbrook, St Andrew.

The woman reported the matter to investigators in July.

The 48-year-old former politician has denied the allegation.

It is reported that both Creary and the woman admitted to police investigators that they had been in a relationship.

Last week, Creary was charged with raping a 15-old-girl in 2013. He is to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court tomorrow on both charges, when a bail application is also expected to be made.

Twenty-two-year-old Shaneke Williams, Creary's co-accused, is charged with aiding and abetting and sexual touching in connection with the first case.
