Richard Stewart is dead

Family and friends reacted with shock yesterday to news of the passing of Richard Stewart, a pioneer of the Jamaican auto-motive industry.

Sloane Jackson, general manager of the family-owned Stewart's Automotive, said Stewart's death came as a shock because he was very active in recent days.

"The one thing that I see in him that I will take away is that he has worked hard all his life, and he's been able to benefit from that, and it has left a mark on me to just keep working hard. It's shocking, but at this time, my thoughts are with the family," Jackson told The Gleaner.
