Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett has left the island to attend several meetings with Jamaica's tourism partners, including representatives of the Jamaica Tourist Board’s advertising agency, in New York and New Jersey.
Bartlett says he will be placing special focus on driving new markets and forging new partnerships in his meetings with overseas tourism stakeholders.
He says he will focus on increasing the output of existing tourism markets in the US, Canada and Europe.
Since taking office Bartlett has met with other tourism groups including the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA), the Red Cap Porters Association and leaders of the attractions and ground transportation sub-sectors.
