WESTERN BUREAU:

Three males were confirmed dead at the Cornwall Regional Hospital in Montego Bay, St James, late yesterday afternoon after they reportedly drowned while swimming at a public beach in the Reading community, located on the outskirts of the western city.

Though not yet identified up to last night, the males were believed to be 13, 17 and 27 years old.

According to a source at the hospital, initially, one person, who appeared to be unconscious, was brought in.

He was later pronounced dead by medical staffers.

Some time later, the source said two bodies were brought in.

"We just hear seh dem drown down a Reading beach ... nothing more ... no name, no address, no family," hospital personnel told The Gleaner.
