The Mandeville medical fraternity is in mourning this evening following the death of a doctor on internship at the Mandeville Regional hospital in a car crash.

Dr Megan Auden, 25, the daughter of popular Mandeville doctor Paul Auden, died Saturday afternoon after the car she was driving collided into two others on the Greenvale Road in the parish capital.

The Mandeville Police say about 3:45 p.m Megan was travelling  towards Greenvale.

On reaching the intersection between Greenvale and West roads, her car skidded on a wet road surface into the path of two Toyota Corolla motor vehicles travelling in the opposite direction.

She was reportedly flung from the vehicle and was soon after pronounced dead at hospital.

Ten passengers travelling in the other vehicles were injured and were also taken to hospital.
