Three bodies found in burning car in St James - Five-year-old, three others shot in Denham Town

The charred remains of three persons were found by the Spring Mount police in an area called Barnett Bush in northern St James yesterday morning.
One of the three bodies is believed to be that of an ex-soldier named Shane Hibbert, who currently resides in Frome, Westmoreland.
The other two persons, believed to be males, remained unidentified up to last night.
Reports are that Hibbert and two men left a club in Smithfield, Westmoreland, about 1 a.m. Sunday.
The police later responded to reports that a Toyota Corolla, registration RG 6166, was seen engulfed in flames in a gully near cane fields about 11 a.m. Investigators suspect foul play.
When the police arrived on the scene, charred remains were seen inside.
A call was made to the owner of the motor car, who revealed that Hibbert was in possession of the vehicle.
Hibbert's child's mother reportedly resides in Barnett Bush, but was apparently unaware of his presence in the community.
The three deaths come at a time when there has been a marked lull in killings in the parish in the last two weeks.
In the meantime, on the eve of the new school year, a five-year-old child was hospitalised after being shot in Denham Town, west Kingston, yesterday afternoon.
The child and three men were shot at the intersection of Tulip Lane and Milk Lane in the community. One of the men was said to be in critical condition.
West Kingston has been experiencing an upsurge in violence, which the police say has been the result of gang warfare.
As investigations continue, the police are asking residents in the area, or anyone who may have information about the incident, to share it with the authorities.
