Tributes flow for Brian George
Fitzgerald Jeffrey
High Commissioner for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago
On behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, the high commission wishes to express its deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the family and colleagues of the late Brian George, one of our most decorated and monumental men of the soil.
Gone too soon but will not be forgotten, his memory and legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those he has left behind, as well as the people of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica.
To his wife and sons and extended family, we say, let not your hearts be troubled, Brian George believed in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. In his Father's house, there are many mansions, and God has now taken him to the mansion that was designed for him, to an inheritance that is unperishable, undefiled and unfading and guarded by the power of God. His soul will rest in eternal peace for he is with his Father and the Father with him.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Brian George. He was a mentor and, dare I say, friend. This man did so much for my career and life! Also paid for my video for Dread! When I had no support, he made me believe I would make it still, regardless, meant a lot!

I met him when he decided to get married in Venice, Italy, and he came to me for help with the arrangements for the wedding. He was a very pleasant person, very kind and always smiling. He also supported Stand Up for Jamaica financially. He will truly be missed for the energetic way he lived life.

I knew Brian very well. We used to talk about exercising because I used to see him a lot when he was walking and I was cycling, and it's really very sad. Certainly at the PSOJ, we are sad to hear of his passing because it is really a tremendous loss and our condolences go out to his family.
