David 'Green' Reid could not miss the opportunity to see his councillor-candidate for Mandeville, Manchester, be nominated yesterday as it is a tradition he has enjoyed during local government election periods over many years.
It is also tradition for him to get fully dressed in green as a show of support for his beloved Jamaica Labour Party (JLP).
"Me a Labourite from 1972, and me always ina me green. Me a vote from me was 22 years old, and now me is 66. Me a vote before Andrew Holness born, and me nuh play when it come on to me party."
Reid said he has to represent at all times and let his loyalty to his party be known.
"Me have 40 green shirt, two dozen green underwear, three dozen green socks. Me can't run out," he laughed.
