The Manchester police have taken one man into custody in connection with the killing of two men in the parish on Sunday night.

The individual, said to be a person of interest, has been identified as Rohan Smiley, also known as 'Boomhead'.

According to the police, he is the leader of the Grey Ground district gang.

Residents of Grey Ground staged a protest by blocking the roadways late Wednesday night into yesterday morning, decrying Smiley's arrest.

Meanwhile, the police are appealing to Kaschief Griffiths, of Comfort district, to turn himself in.

Griffiths is the primary suspect in the case.

The police believe Griffiths, who was shot in January of this year, staged the attack as an act of reprisal, which ended the lives of Kemar Reid, 33, and Solanda Thompson, 27.

Reid and Thompson were shot and killed shortly after fixing a camera at the house where Reid resided.
