CLARENDON:

The Clarendon police are still trying to establish a motive for the shooting of three people, two fatally, in Sandy Bay yesterday morning. One of the deceased is a 16-year-old student of the Spanish Town High School in St Catherine

The police say about 12:15 am,19-year-old Richard Blake, otherwise called ‘Richie’, and 16-year-old Ricardo Blake better known ‘Diggs’ or ‘Blackman’ – both of Rasta Corner, Sandy Bay – were shot and killed. Their 13-year-old brother, who is also student of the said address, was shot and injured. He was treated at hospital.

According to the police report, the brothers were at home with their mother when three men armed with rifles, kicked in the front of the house and opened gunfire, hitting two of the brothers all over their bodies. The 13-year-old was shot in his left leg while fleeing the scene.

The mother made an alarm and community members came and summoned the Police.
