Four relatives killed in Hanover attack
WESTERN BUREAU:
Four members of one family were last night killed in Mt Pleasant, Hanover as criminals continue to wreak havoc in the rural community, which has also had a triple murder and a double murder since the start of the year.
The identities of last night's victims are not yet known.
But initial reports are that they are all related.
It is believed the killers invaded their home and slaughtered them gangland-style.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Sharon Beeput, the commanding officer for the Hanover Police Division, has confirmed the incident and told The Gleaner that police investigators are now at the location.
Last night’s killings lift the parish’s murder count to 36 since the start of the year, making it the second most murderous parish behind neighbours St James, which leads with 122 killings since the start of 2017.
