Country to brace for rain this weekend

Flooding during recent heavy rains across Jamaica.

Jamaica is expected to experience rain across all parishes this weekend as the Meteorological Service advises that an area of disturbed weather west of the island is influencing the conditions.

A flash flood watch is now in effect for all parishes. A flash flood watch means that flash flooding is possible and residents are advised to take precautionary measures and be ready for quick action if flooding is observed or if a warning is issued.

The flash flood watch will remain in place until this morning, as the Met Service continues to monitor the situation.

Marine interest are advised to exercise caution.
