'Nuh Dutty Up Jamaica' - Strong support for International Coastal Clean-up Day

More than 3,000 persons turned out to help rid the Palisadoes beach of plastic bottles and other debris.
Students of the University of Technology, Western Campus, focused on the Fisherman’s Beach in Montego Bay, St James.
The weight of the rubbish was not too much for this volunteer at the Palisadoes Beach yesterday.

Thousands of Jamaicans yesterday marked International Coastal Clean-up Day with activities across the island.

In the Corporate Area, the Jamaica Environment Trust hosted its 24th annual clean-up of the Palisadoes Strip while the Tourism Enhancement Fund led activities along the north coast.
