King Evil’s son charged with double murder

Kasheen Lewis, the 20-year-old son of slain St James top-flight gangster Omar 'King Evil' Lewis, has been charged with the gangland-style murder of two women who were shot and killed in the Catherine Hall community just under three months ago.

Lewis, who is said to be a member of the Nation Croc gang, which was led by his father, who once figured on the police's most wanted list in both Jamaica and the United States (US), was reportedly the gunman who shot and killed 41-year-old Cleopatra 'Keisha' Fletcher, a popular nail technician; and her 52-year-old customer, Dawnette Shettleworth, an employee at the Sangster International Airport; and injured a 43-year-old JUTA operator, at approximately 5:30 p.m., on Monday, November 13, 2017.

The two were killed in the proximity of where the senior Lewis was killed by marauding gunmen, who trapped him in his car and peppered him with a barrage of bullets.

The 42-year-old Lewis was released from police custody only weeks earlier after being deported from the US.

The police said that an illegal weapon was found in Lewis's car.

Following the death of Lewis, who had absconded bail on a murder charge prior to being arrested in the US on unrelated charges, rumours began circulating in Montego Bay that he would be avenged. He was killed on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, approximately two weeks before the killing of the women.

Two other men, another father and son, who were implicated in the killing of the women, have since been killed in separate incidents. The father, 40-year-old Aaron Bradford Taylor, also called 'Carlos', was killed on Howard Cooke Boulevard on December 28, 2017, by gangsters, who shot up the vehicle he was driving. The following day, the son was killed in a confrontation on Sun Valley Road in Glendevon.
