Expo Jamaica 2018 title sponsors Digicel are promising a high-tech experience for the approximately 20,000 patrons expected to converge on the National Arena and National Indoor Sports Centre for the four days of the highly anticipated manufacturers' showpiece event on April 19-22.

The biennual event will showcase the most advanced digital technology from a family of products and services that is changing the way goods and services are made and sold locally or for export.

"We are at the heart of connecting consumers with an amazing communications and entertainment experience. We are also at the heart of connecting business with the consumers they want to reach," Digicel Chief Executive Officer Justin Morin said at the launch of Expo 2018 last week.

"Using the power of our network, we will show everyone at Expo 2018 how listening to consumers is enabling us to come up with the right digital technology that transforms the way they buy and sell Jamaica," he added.

Morin told a Gleaner Editors' Forum on Thursday that the association with the Jamaica Manufacturers' Association (JMA) is vital to deliver another record expo.

"We are really happy to be on board with the JMA. We are working together to deliver what hopefully will be another record expo under the theme 'Advanced breakthroughs'," said Morin.

Digicel will coordinate with the expo to offer free access to download and use the new Expo 2018 app via complimentary super fast Wi-Fi connectivity in all areas. Patrons and buyers will get to see how advanced Internet technology is powering the progress of small manufacturers of nutraceuticals, essential oils, beauty and cosmetic supplies, aromatherapy and spa products.
