Warren dismisses fresh allegations of convictions

Acknowledging that she has received information alleging that she has additional convictions, apart from the 1995 crime that was reported, Carolyn Warren, the managing director of National Energy Solutions Limited (NESol), has dismissed the allegations as "false".

Warren told The Gleaner yesterday that she would be speaking with her attorney to address any new matter that has surfaced in the public domain.

On July 12, Warren confessed that she had a drug conviction in 1995, but pointed out that since that time she has turned her life around and has been working with young people to ensure that they do not make the same mistake she made.

Speaking with The Gleaner yesterday, Warren dismissed any fresh allegations, saying they that were not true.

Word about Warren's 1995 drug conviction first came through a statement from Opposition Spokesman on Energy Phillip Paulwell, who had called on the prime minister to dismiss her from NESOL.

However, following a flood of criticism from some members of the public, Paulwell later withdrew his call for her dismissal and apologised to Warren.
