Coach on winning: "I am ecstatic. I'm elated for Tymari. She has worked very hard along with the other coaches."

Her coach says Tymari is deserving of the win because she is dedicated. Her success is also as a result of the support of Trisan Brown, Shelly Cunningham, and Narval Hall,who is the school's principal, who helped to coach her.

Allen and her spellmate were given instructions before the summer to take them through the break, but when school reopened, the preparation became more intense.

When asked about nationals, Bowen said, "We are really confident we'll take it and put Hanover on the map."

Tymari is 10 years old and is in grade six. She is an active member of the choir, Brownies, and Culture Club at her school.

When she takes a break from reading, studying, and spelling, she is singing. Her favourite song is Take Me To The King by Tamela Mann. Medicine is in Tymari's future, as her ambition is to become a doctor.
