Another double murder rocks Clarendon

Up to late yesterday, the police had not yet established a motive for Friday night's double murder in May Pen, Clarendon.

The victims have since been identified as 55-year-old Gladstone 'Cuban' Allen, a driver employed to the May Pen Library Service, and 43-year-old Gregory Mitchell.

Reports are that about 10:30 Friday night, residents of Duke Street in May Pen heard loud explosions and went to investigate. They found Allen's body lying beside his Nissan motor car with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the face and chest.

Mitchell was found lying face down in a nearby yard with wounds to the upper back.

The police were summoned and the two taken to the May Pen Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

More than 129 persons have been killed in Clarendon since the start of the year.
