Bail condition changed for Reid, Pinnock and co-accused, to return to court April 8

Former Education Minister Ruel Reid, Caribbean Maritime University President (CMU) Fritz Pinnock and their co accused are to return to court on April 8 on corruption charges.
Reid, his wife Sharen, their daughter Sharelle, Pinnock and Brown’s Town Division Councillor Kim Brown Lawrence reappeared in the Corporate Area court this morning before Senior Parish Judge Chester Crooks.
Pinnock’s lawyer Hugh Wildman successfully appealed to the judge to vary the bail conditions saying it had become onerous for them to report to the police on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The judge granted the request and ordered that Pinnock and his accused should instead report to the police on Wednesdays.
In the meantime, Wildman says he will be going to the Judicial Review Court on February 10 to challenge a ruling by Chief Justice Bryan Sykes dismissing his application to quash the charges against his client.

Wildman had argued that the Financial Investigation Division had no authority to charge his clients.
