Police corporal shot by armed man at funeral in St Andrew

A police corporal was earlier today shot and injured and a service vehicle shot up in the vicinity of the Jamaica Evangelistic Centre on Waltham Park Road in St Andrew.
It's reported that the incident happened around noon during a confrontation with an armed man at a funeral.
The details surrounding the incident were not immediately available or the condition of the corporal.
The incident, however, resulted in traffic diversion as investigators processed the scene.
The cop is assigned to the St Andrew Central Police Division.
