Dining during the COVID-19 pandemic should take into consideration the six-feet physical-distance recommendations by health authorities to reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus. The following tips can help you keep safe while serving, buying, or eating food in public spaces:

• Encourage pick-up services.

• Discourage dining services unless the density of persons to building can be controlled and physical distancing achieved and maintained.

• Encourage the use of outdoor dining for patrons.

• Avoid the use of self-serve stations.

• Restrict employee-shared spaces.

• Limit or control the waiting period for diners at reservation booths.

• Implement the use of scheduled dining for groups of persons within the eatery.

• Where large families are desirous of using the dining facilities, limit the number of members seated at a one table. Suggest the use of outside dining.
