Three shot, two dead in St Andrew

Investigators up to press time were still at the scene of a double murder on Rosalee Avenue, off Waltham Park Road in St Andrew yesterday.

The Gleaner understands that two men were shot and killed by unknown assailants shortly after 5 p.m. One of the deceased is Jordan Dixon, while the other had only been identified by his alias, ‘Romey’.

A third man, who was injured in the incident, remains hospitalised.

The St Andrew South Police Division, where the incident occurred, is leading the country with 68 murders up to May 31. This is one less than the corresponding period last year.
