Bellamy: The anger and disappointment based on the feedback is regretted.

Jamaica Labour Party councillor Andrew Bellamy has resigned from the board of the South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) over a video showing him toasting to a COVID-19 no-movement day at a birthday party at the R Hotel.

He has also resigned from all committees he chaired at the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation.

The development follows the earlier resignation of Agriculture Minister Floyd Green who was also in the video.

Bellamy is the representative for the Mona Division in the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation.

"The anger and disappointment based on the feedback is regretted," he wrote in a statement saying he was sorry.

The birthday party was reportedly a celebration of Gabrielle Hylton, an adviser to Green.

Hylton sits on the boards of three public entities - the Cannabis Licensing Authority, the Rural Agricultural Development Authority and the Jamaica 4-H Clubs.

The Opposition People's National Party has led calls for action against Green and other participants.
