Three strong, vibrant, and hard-working Jamaican women in charity are now striving to see who can raise the most money this Christmas through the Ashley Couch Conversation series. These women are Stacey McKenzie, Michelle Gordon, and Christelle Harris Hann.

Their featured charities are The Walk Camp Jamaica, Food For The Poor Jamaica, and the Christelle Harris Charity Fund, respectively.

Ashley Furniture HomeStore has supported them by launching a dedicated platform on the World Wide Web at www.ashleycouchconversations.com, where donors can select the charity of their choice and donate much-needed funds that the charities would receive in 2024.

McKenzie, a renowned Jamaican international model and founder of The Walk Camp Jamaica, passionately shared her charity’s mission with The Gleaner and explained why Jamaicans should vote for them to raise funds this Christmas.

“The Walk Camp is a free two-week day camp empowering 30 girls through mentorship, inspiring them to value their uniqueness. We urgently need back-to-school assistance, including tuition, bags, books, laptops, and uniforms” McKenzie said.

“Your donations will be a lifeline for these girls, allowing them to pursue their dreams with confidence,” she said.

Gordon, popularly known in Jamaica as ‘Boss Mom’, serves as an ambassador for Food for The Poor Jamaica, a charity that aids single mothers in business with housing and business support.

In her heartfelt appeal, Gordon stated: “Your donations will go a long way in changing the lives of mothers in need across Jamaica. I really believe that when we fix our families, we can fix our nation. Join me in impacting lives and creating a positive change for these mothers and their children,” Gordon said.

Harris Hann, director and founder of the Christelle Harris Charity Fund, emphasised their commitment to improving the educational experiences and lives of children across Jamaica.

“For the past 15 years, we have been making a difference, and we aim to continue,” she said. “Donate today to contribute and help us build a better Jamaica together. Your support will shape a brighter future for our children.”

In a recent press release from Ashley Furniture HomeStore, an invitation was shared for everyone to join the cause this Christmas season by contributing to these charities by logging on to www.ashleycouchconversations.com.

“Every donation, big or small, will contribute to the betterment of lives and the development of a stronger, more compassionate Jamaica,” the release stated.
