On Thursday, across Jamaica, citizens rallied together in a spirit of unity to commemorate National Labour Day through acts of voluntary service.

From bustling urban centres to tranquil rural communities, they rolled up their sleeves and dedicated their time and energy to improve their neighbourhoods and uplift their fellow citizens.

Whether it was refurbishing schools, beautifying public spaces, or improving access for the disabled, pedestrians or even motorists, the ethos of giving back and collective effort permeated the air.
