Early reports from across the island are that Jamaicans escaped the worst possible outcome of Tropical Storm Rafael.

According to the National Works Agency, there were reports of landslides in St Thomas, northern St Catherine, and flooding in sections of St Andrew, but no significant road damage caused by the rains caused by the storm.
