Bloomfield... In September, Moore polled 141 votes to his 133 in a selection exercise at the Port Antonio High School.

It appears the People's National Party (PNP) is considering to overrule the results of the September 7 internal elections, which saw Attorney Andrea Moore beating the incumbent Dr Lynvale Bloomfield by eight votes.

Some members of the party's hierarchy are of the view that Bloomfield should be the standard-bearer for East Portland in the next general election.

In September, Moore polled 141 votes to Bloomfield's 133 in a selection exercise at the Port Antonio High School.

Of the 360 eligible voters, 274 delegates voted.

At that time, some delegates said Bloomfield's defeat came as no surprise, as he was out of touch with comrades, but others believed the first-time Member of Parliament simply needed time to mature.
