No respect for life, passengers

Published:Friday | April 6, 2018 | 12:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

What can be more stubborn and stiff-necked than a donkey? We are behaving like a stubborn donkey by not heeding the call to save our lives and our country.

For example, we sit in public passenger Coaster buses and taxis and allow the drivers to gamble with our lives by driving madly on the streets, and we just close our mouths and say nothing.

At the same time, Christian women, senior citizens, and big, respectable women sit in buses, including JUTC buses, as well as taxis, and allow disrespectable, rude, and ill-mannered drivers and conductors to pepper passengers with all sorts of dirty music without opening their mouths to say anything.

What happens to Jamaican women and young girls? Do they know that there is a limit to everything? Why won't they open their mouths?

To make matters worse, I have never heard the leaders of our country give a direct address to the nation pertaining to lewd music on public transport and in public spaces and places.
