Johns Hall road desperate for repair

THE EDITOR, Sir:

The rehabilitation of the Greenvale to Spur Tree road was well deserved.

However, mention must be made about the very poor condition of a road in northern Clarendon, that is, the Johns Hall road, which is the main thoroughfare between Guinea Corn via Silver Spring to Corner Shop.

It has been in a deplorable condition for more than 20 years, and although several requests have been made to the authorities, especially the National Works Agency, and the local politicians, nothing has been done to rectify its state. There is no other access route to emergency services, schools, markets, the police station, and hospitals. It's a disaster waiting to happen.

It is hoped that with this road rehabilitation programme, the authorities will put some work into this road.
