Pensioners hung out to dry

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Can you check with the Ministry of Finance and the Accountant General's Department to clarify the reason(s) for the late pension payments for a number of retirees across the island?

This is a recurring problem that is severely affecting the well-being of our senior citizens who served tirelessly in the public sector. This issue needs to be investigated and corrected with urgency, and these pensioners deserve a public apology for the gross disrespect.
