Sign me up for hell!

THE EDITOR, Sir:

The Christian Church has a doctrine that can be paraphrased thus: Each human individual is a sinner and for his/her disobedience will be sent to hell and be in torment forever, following the verdict of the Day of Judgement.

However, God so loved the world that He intervened and sent His son Jesus to die in our place. If we believe this, we go to Heaven after the Judgement, and if we don't, dog nyam wi supper. We go to Hell - forever.

There is something wrong with this doctrine.

It holds that a loving Heavenly Father (love revealed by Jesus) has set up a system that condemns most of his human creatures to Hell. (Narrow is the way that leads to life and few there be that go thereat).

Now if God is really like that, I don't want to be with him and I will, therefore, have to spend eternity in Hell.
