Give us vision, lest we perish

THE EDITOR, Sir:
It is not surprising that there was a low turnout of residents at the Independence civic ceremony in St Catherine. The parish has not done enough to encourage members to participate in civic activities. The parish lacks vision and a sense of renewal and progress.
No one wants to attend functions that have very little significance to their lives. Change the image of the town.
