Ralston McKenzie a giant among broadcasters
THE EDITOR, Sir:
One of the good things about this business and journey of life is when we can come together for a few moments to celebrate, with our family members, relatives and friends, something good that has been done. And that's exactly what took place a few days ago, with Ralston McKenzie, in accordance with his 35 years of remarkable service on RJR.
Ralston McKenzie, Jamaican broadcaster, journalist and host of the Sunday Contact' programme, was warmly celebrated by the RJRGLEANER Communications Group for his years of service. And there were many friends, well-wishers, family members and relatives who joined in on the celebration, too.
We were very pleased in seeing a short clip of the proceedings on YouTube. But we wonder why it was so brief. We would definitely like to see the entire proceedings. So we are asking you please to put the whole thing on YouTube so we can look at it again.
When we talk about etiquette, good manners, patience, tolerance and helpfulness, Ralston is one of those persons who fits this description. He is indeed a real man - a true veteran - linking persons with long-lost family and friends.
Thanks for such a marvellous Sunday show. May the good Lord bless Ralston and his family richly.
