School bulla ban will hurt the poor

Published:Tuesday | September 11, 2018 | 12:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

The bullas Ruel Reid takes down permanently from the shelves at schools are not ordinary bullas. They do not sell at shops or supermarkets.

Mr Reid permanently suspended the distribution of the nutribulla programme at the expense of hungry and deprived children. He has no sympathy for the poor and indigent and is only seeking to gain political points.

I urge the unemployed and those who cannot make ends meet to let the Government hear your cry. Many parents and students over the years depend on milk and nutribullas being distributed throughout schools.

Why not improve and bake other nutritional products and expand the Nutrition Products Ltd facility on Marcus Garvey Drive?

One can definitely see that the Jamaica Labour Party has no regard for the poor, only to indulge in scandals, corruption and mayhem.
