Not for defence, but for profit
THE EDITOR, Sir:
My thoughts and prayers for the drone’s family. Hopefully, the American military will stand down and ignore Trump’s future insane command.
The bellicose United States has had so many wars since WWII and not for defence, but for the profit of its great war industry.
The lives of youth means nothing to them. This administration is just looking for a reason to start a war, because it is well known that a war is a money grab for the wealthy business owners and is another way to boost national support for a president, especially a very unpopular one like Donald Trump. Not to mention the diversion from his many atrocities.
It’s a drone, for crying out loud. We shouldn’t be starting wars where real people get killed over a damn flying robot. Trump called off the attack not because he has empathy for Iranians, but because he was told the drone was somewhere it wasn’t supposed to be. That’s why Iran has the wreckage.
Again, my thoughts and prayers for the drone’s family.
