Follow the guidelines

Published:Monday | March 30, 2020 | 12:09 AM

THE EDITOR, Madam:

MY FELLOW Jamaicans, we must all take responsibility for our actions in this COVID-19 crisis. If you know that you have travelled recently, self-quarantine and call the health personnel if you have any symptoms before going out in public.

Follow the guidelines from the Government, please.

Students have been complaining to me that it was better if they had stayed in school, but I have been assuring them that it’s necessary to take these steps now so that they can live to see tomorrow. I tell them it’s easier to stay home and study, and not be out in public.

As a man of God, I am urging everyone to use every day as a national day of prayer, talking to the Almighty God to guide us through this storm.

The coronavirus respects no one. It comes for the upper, middle and the lower classes, so this is something you must not play with.

Please, my fellow Jamaicans, keep a safe distance from each other, and stay away from crowds. In fact, by now all churches should be having services online.

May God bless our land.
