Powerful perspective on abortion, Dr Abrahams

THE EDITOR, Madam:

Dr Michael Abrahams’ column, ‘An open letter to men about abortion’ was wonderfully written, and coming from a man’s perspective it was very powerful. Thank you, Dr Abrahams, for understanding what we as women endure and all the things we have to take into consideration when conceiving a child.

Although I have never had an abortion I have friends that have had to make that painful decision. I also sit on the other side of being a mother who raised her daughter as a single parent.

All of the points Dr Abrahams raised are pertinent and valued. Thank you for choosing to understand!
