COVID is not a joke

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I read Dr Orville Taylor’s article on his bout with COVID-19. I went through something similar, although not with the lung infections much. But other symptoms were just as bad. I had no smell, no taste, I was so tired that I just wanted to sleep, I lost my appetite. And I don’t even know where I got coronavirus from.

This went on for 12 days with me feeling like a zombie for 20 days.

This COVID-19 is no joke, man. There are people throwing caution to the winds and don’t get sick. Then there are people following the rules and still fall sick.

Talk about how unfair life is. But people need to follow the rules, it will end up saving your lives.

I couldn’t isolate when I was sick so my poor spouse also got infected. Now I’m wondering if it will reinfect me.

This is all too much. I pray that COVID-19 passes us sooner rather than later. Until then, be as safe as you possibly can.
