Letter of the Day | Integrity and trust can’t be bought or sold

Published:Saturday | November 9, 2024 | 12:07 AM

THE EDITOR, Madam:

Whether we wish to acknowledge it or not, we in Jamaica are facing a serious crisis in terms of integrity and trust.

Having eight parliamentarians being investigated for illegal enrichment, including our prime minister, is a very serious issue.

To compound the crisis, having parliamentarians criticising and asking for investigations of the Integrity Commission is just making matters worse.

The time for playing political games and trying to hide the facts is over and, really, those being investigated should withdraw themselves from ministerial duties and call elections for Jamaicans to choose trustworthy people of integrity to lead our fair island.
