Rapper Kendrick Lamar has been in Jamaica sight seeing at Bob Marley Museum, and last week was photographed alongside the fastest man alive Usain Bolt and reggae artist Assassin aha Agent Sasco. While we are unclear as to the reason for his visit, we know once he is here only good things will follow, so welcome to Jamrock Kendrick!

Ciara returns to roots

Ciara posted a video on social media of herself, accompanied by her backup dancers as well as Nigerian dancer, vibing and learning new African moves. She described the soul, culture and passion there as unreal and many supporters and followers showed her some love, by liking, loving and sharing the video for the world to see. A few even expressed shock as Ciara seemed right at home as she indulged in the beats. Good job Ciara!

New Prime Minister Official Swear In

Last Thursday, Andrew Holness fulfilled his dream as he was sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Jamaica. Active in his endorsement was the dream master himself, Nesbeth, and as he performed his hit single, My Dream on the lawns of King's House, he was joined by the Prime Minister, who participated in his performance. Both lived their dreams out loud and it was a sight to behold.

Zoe Saldana as Nina Simone

I don't know who wasn't looking forward to seeing the story of singer, songwriter and musician Nina Simone on the big screen. When the trailer revealed a darker skinned Zoe Saldana the black community took to social media to rant. Don't get it twisted, Saldana is a wonderful actress, but in an era where race continues to plague America, darkening her skin just for the role rubbed potential audiences the wrong way, stirring up dreadful emotions. But I have to question if she was a shade darker than Simone would this even be an issue? Has the issue of race gone to black and blacker? I guess she is too 'Columbiana' to play a black woman.

Sam Smith

So Sam Smith made the biggest blunder at the Oscars claiming to be the first openly gay person to win an Oscar. Well Smith again #youarenottheonlyone. Get over yourself.

Donald Trump

The no to Donald Trump has surpassed the memes, there is now a facebook page promoting the cause - Stop the Trump! Candid. I wonder if he is prosperity or progress. Well I know one thing he surely has as many enemies as he has fans.
