'Twas Trending is going to school with all the drama that unfolded this week, so hop on the bus and let's go for a ride.

Alkaline

Extra extra extra extra lesson. Leader of the Vendetta clan Alkaline, seems to be studying a little too hard and was recently detained by the police for questioning in relation to the murder of Rohan Morris. With the 'teacher' currently behind bars, what does this mean for the 'head boy' of the 'School of Dancehall? Detention, suspension or expulsion? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Blackout for a Cause

Last Monday, corporate Jamaica and other members of society sported fashion for a cause - wearing black in solidarity to end violence against women and children. While many supported and applauded the initiative, the question of many is what happens after? How do we make Jamaica safer for our women and children?

Lessons learnt?

Jungle justice was in full force this week as photos and videos of men allegedly accused of raping and killing women and children started trended all over social media. The public took matters into their own hands, taking the life of one of the accused.

The other was severely beaten after he attempted to abduct a woman who ran into a house for help. They caught and tied the man to a post and he was only spared when the police showed up.

George Clooney times two

On the international scene, Hollywood actor George Clooney and his wife Amal, are expecting twins! We all wondered what he was waiting for to become a father. In his case, it might’ve been his wife. And as fate would have it, she is giving him not one, but two bundles of joy to call him daddy. Congrats to the lovely couple and we look forward to the most adorable family photos.
