My wish for Jamaica

Published:Friday | December 29, 2017 | 12:00 AM
Carolyn Yapp- For 2018, I want the Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, to focus on eliminating the scamming ring in Montego Bay. They need to do whatever it takes.
Ann-Marie Vaz- I wish Jamaica peace. I crave the old Jamaican where we were our brother's keeper, and the village was there to raise our children.
Patrice White- I wish for a crime free Jamaica.
Richard Ferdinand — My wish is to see a decline in the murder rate so that potential investors and visitors won't be deterred, and continue to build on the economic gains we made last year.
Michelle Downer I want us (Jamaicans) to show more love to each other because that's the only way we can unite as a people, and also to understand that God is still in control because he's the only one that can bring us through any situation. Persons need to think before they act, because resorting to violence does not solve problems. Let's all unite and end the crime and violence and mek we bring back Jamaica, only we alone can do it.
Krystal Tomlinson and Moses Davis Our wish for Jamaica for 2018 is that we embrace the principle of collective work and responsibility. That we believe and acting as if the problems of our brothers and sisters are our own, and work to help solve them. That is the only path to a peaceful and happy Jamaica.
Tanisa Samuel- I would like to see a stronger sense of pride among our people. More trust, understanding and compassion for each other. There is room for us all to achieve our dreams with faith, humility and confidence if we work hard and help others.
