Monied guests and the next generation of humanitarians opened their wallets and unzipped their pockets in support of Jamaica’s single largest one-night charity event, the Sugarcane Ball, last Saturday night at Round Hill Hotel and Villas. Tagged, ‘A Night at the Opera: Vienna Style’, Hanover Charities’ Katrin Casserly and Round Hill’s Josef Forstmayr paid homage to their Austrian roots through the food, aspects of the music, and the couture. Women wore some of the most stunning gowns while the men donned black ties for the elegant affair that retired the parish of its Cinderella moniker.
