Last Sunday, the People’s National Party Region 3 recognised the contributions of former Prime MinisterMichael Manley on the 25th anniversary of his death. Party officials and family members celebrated his life with tributes and the laying of wreaths at the National Heroes Park in Kingston. Manley, a past president of the party, was hailed as an advocate for social justice, a visionary, and trade unionist. He was prime minister from 1976 to 1980, and again from 1989 to 1992.
