The exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of The Harder They Come, the Jamaican cult classic film that helped introduce reggae to a global audience, opened last Saturday at 10A West Kings House Road, the former home of co-writer and director Perry Henzell. On display was memorabilia reflecting the enduring impact of The Harder They Come, with many pieces reflecting the star of the show, Jimmy Cliff. Henzell died in 2006, but his daughter Justine has overseen the legacy of his famous film. The Harder They Come premièred at the Carib cinema in June 1972.
