The networking event on the opening night of the World Free Zones Conference was a celebration of the Jamaican entertainment scene, from the moko jumbie on stilts and the reggae-infused steelpan performers to the fabulous Fab Five Band that had delegates on their feet for their over one-hour set filled with lover’s rock, soca, country, reggae and dancehall. Fab Five was preceded by Montego Bay-born Jamila Falak, who wooed the audience with her sultry voice and fingers on the double bass; phenomenal singer Sherieta, Ghetto Youths label artiste and backup singer for popular artiste Damian Junior Gong’ Marley; and Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh with her sweet notes and lovely personality. Something Extra brings you the highlights.
