Ambassador of Belgium to Jamaica, Hugo Verbist, hosted a Belgian King’s Day reception last Tuesday at the Spanish Court Hotel to recognise 60 years of diplomatic relations between Belgium and Jamaica. The gathering of 200 specially selected guests, including a mix of diplomats, business professionals and socialites, made for a fabulous evening as attendees noshed on Belgian cuisine, got the opportunity to speak the country’s official languages Dutch, French and German, and mingled to their hearts’ content.
