On New Year’s Day, thousands of fans of reggae and dancehall music travelled from parishes across the island to experience Intimate, the premier concert featuring headline acts Buju Banton and Beres Hammond, with special performances by Marcia Griffiths, LUST, Tarrus Riley and D’Yani at Grizzly’s Plantation Cove, in Priory, St Ann. Originally billed as a ‘once-in-a-lifetime experience’, by the end of the completely sold-out show, Banton promised his delighted audience that he would “See [them] next year at Intimate.” Massive crowd or not, our Something Extra photographers found a way to capture the Intimate highlights.
