The streets of New Kingston and Half-Way Tree became a sea of colour and cheer on Sunday morning as thousands of corporate teams, individual runners, wheelers, students, families and friends participated in the 25th staging of the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run. From as early as 6 a.m. excited race participants could be seen warming up at the Knutsford Boulevard start line for the 5.5-kilometre road race, which returned in full force after being scaled down over the past two years. This year’s Run raised a record-breaking 91 million dollars for the beneficiaries — the Paediatric Unit of The University Hospital of the West Indies, and the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts. Something Extra has the highlights.
